The U.S. State Department as well as "a coalition of civic groups" (YT) sponsored a Youtube contest asking for answers to the question "What is Democracy?", and was promptly deluged by nearly 1000 video responses from nearly a hundred countries. This video, "Long Live The Fearless Man" from Filipinos Aissa PeƱafiel and Miguel Ocampo, was one of the six winners of the competition.
Watch it, and then watch it again, this time listening to the actual words.
It's beautifully, hauntingly poetic in Filipino.
